Give an Elder a Mic: Tony Robbins
We’re kicking off a new interview series — Give an Elder a Mic! In each interview, we’ll ask different elders to share their stories, wisdom, and cultural practices with us.
Our first guest is Tony Robbins, a Diné elder, dad, cheii, fisherman, Little League coach, music lover and much more from Cameron on the Navajo Nation. He is a community leader and organizer, environmentalist, educator, and has been one of the biggest inspirations for founding The Chapter House. As the Natural Resource Manager for the Western Agency of the Navajo Nation, one of his recent accomplishments has been completing a big project for the Former Bennett Freeze Area, which will help many Navajo families living in that area.
To read more about his work, the Former Bennett Freeze Area, the Integrated Resource Management Plan, you can visit the Western Navajo Agency website here. Important stuff on the Navajo Nation!
Interviewing him are his daughters Emma (TCH Founder) and Isabella (Board Secretary). Take a look below!
