Traditional Wellness Gatherings🌿
Skoden: Strengths & Self-Efficacy
Saturday, June 10, 2023
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (PST)
Virtual Workshop (Zoom)
Join us as we welcome Well for Culture (@wellforculture) Indigenous Wellness Activists, Chelsey Luger (Anishinaabe & Lakota) and Thosh Collins (O’odham, Osage, & Seneca-Cayuga), as they guide us in grounding techniques, movement, and physical wellness practices. We are inviting 40 self-identified Indigenous community members (all ages) throughout Los Angeles County to participate in a virtual workshop. All mobility levels are welcomed, no experience is needed! The goal of this project is to utilize traditional methods of healing as a way of building connections, reclaiming traditions, and improving overall health.
Our opening will be guided by local community advocate, Phil Hale (Diné), as he continues to share his wisdom of traditional prayer🙏🏽, songs 🎶 and stories 📖 with our community.
